Sherry's Bio

Sherry Fiscella is a writer, speaker and home education consultant from Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Hannibal LaGrange College, Hannibal, Missouri, in 1995, with a BSE in elementary education emphasizing language arts and social studies. She also holds an Honors Program diploma from HLG which included a semester on scholarship at Harlaxton College in Grantham, England.

Sherry married her college sweetheart, Troy, and enjoyed spending the first twelve years of their marriage ministering alongside him as a pastor's wife. She's Troy's cheerleader, and is excited to support him in his newest ventures including teaching at local colleges, Christian counseling, and working as a financial services provider. (He's one multi-talented guy!)

With experience as a volunteer and substitute teacher in public schools, as an administrator and teacher in Christian schools, and as a home education consultant for the past eight years, Sherry's favorite teaching job is home schooling her own children, ages six and eight. Her own kids and her students are her favorite sources of inspiration.

Sherry’s Statement of Faith

I believe in one God revealed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit. I believe that the only way to access Holy God, receive eternal life in heaven, and experience true abundant life during our stay on this earth, is through a relationship with Jesus Christ. A relationship with Jesus is through our faith in him, by his grace for us. Jesus accomplished his redemptive work by living a perfect life, dying sacrificially on a cross, then coming back to life three days later, proving his victory over sin and death.

God’s plan for life and salvation is revealed to us through his word, the Holy Bible, which is inerrant and complete.

I believe that God has given those who commit their lives to Christ a mission to effectively communicate these truths to others by loving, serving, sharing and teaching.
